Dear Reader,
“Action for Well Being” or AWB is a registered NGO of 2019 but it remained dormant for a long time until now. In January 2022, the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi organised a three days fest on the queer community whose main agenda was visibility, education and inclusivity. It culminated with a grand pride march inside the institute campus. The founder of AWB, Mr Suraj Tomar attended this event and asked his partner, Mr Abhishek Dey, who is a student in that institute about organising events to sensitise people, especially teachers and students about the LGBTQIA+ community. The mere urge for an inclusive society brought this NGO back to life. Since then AWB is working steadily to work for a more inclusive India.
PS AWB is a product of love and compassion contained in the hearts of two gay men and the love and empathy they receive from the world.

The dragonfly has been a symbol of good-luck in many cultures since time immemorial. The dragonfly in our logo is symbolic of change, transformation and self-realization.
It is to be noted that the dragon fly is coloured in rainbow. Each colour adds a valuable element of life.
Pink wings stand for sexual orientation (or accepting diversity), red for life (or Right to a dignified life), orange for healing (or change), yellow for sun ( or a conducive environment), green for nature (or prosperity) , blue for art ( or creativity and celebration), indigo for harmony (or peace), and violet for spirit (or self-realization).
This dragonfly shall always remind AWB the motto of its existence and that these elements are respected and celebrated.
