Our founder Adv. Suraj Tomar was invited to be one of the speakers in an event on “ Civil liberties and sexuality rights with an emphasis on same-sex marriage” at Dr. B.R Ambedkar University of Law, Delhi on 11 April 2023. Mr. Tomar spoke on how solemnization of marriage of a same-sex couple would allow that couple to have access to many civil liberties which the heterosexual people enjoy and how this issue violates some of our core fundamental rights. The other speakers were Ms. Anjali Gopalan (founder of NAZ (India) Trust), Dr. Latika Vashist (Assistant Professor of Law at Ambedkar University) and Mr. Maheshwari ( Assistant Lecturer of Law in OP Jindal University). The audience comprised of students from various academic fields including students from the queer community.
