A research scholar at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi, holds the esteemed designation of being a Keshav Suri Fellow. He identifies himself as a cisgendered gay man. Originating from a modest background, he hails from a family of retired army personnel. Throughout his formative years, owing to his father’s transferable occupation, he has traversed various regions of India, thereby cultivating  deep familiarity with the nation’s diverse landscapes.

Having acquired a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Calcutta, Abhishek subsequently pursued a master’s program in Applied Microbiology at Banaras Hindu University. Currently, he is actively engaged in his pursuit of a Ph.D. in the field of Cell Biology at IIT Delhi. He has appeared in news channels like BBC and radio podcast and voiced his support for the LGBTQIA+ community.”
